First Responders

Real time situational awareness is vital to any emergency. This becomes even more important at night and over rough terrain limiting direct line of sight between users in the field. Using the peer-to-peer routing provided by Wave Relay® all team members have the ability to actively participate in data gathering and distribution in real time. Integrated end user devices with moving map displays, distributed video and voice first responders can track their assets on the ground and more efficiently coordinate response teams. Responders can walk, drive or fly a fire line to provide real-time information on how a fire is progressing. As users move around the Wave Relay® network uses advanced algorithms to seamlessly form and heal communications paths to one another. This capability significantly increases the performance and efficiency of user-to-user network traffic and further enables the fault tolerant backbone that Wave Relay® provides.
